Conditions of access
» Holders of a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in the field of Health Sciences (medicine, nursing, health technologies, biology, chemistry, among others), Economic and Political Sciences, Social Sciences or other related fields;
» Holders of a foreign higher academic degree awarded following a 1st or 2nd cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process (legal in the area of Health Sciences (medicine, nursing, health technologies, biology, chemistry, among others), Economic and Political Sciences, Social Sciences or other related areas;
» Holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting to the capacity to undertake this cycle of studies, upon proposal of the Course Council and approved by the Technical-Scientific Council of ESSL. 1.
NOTE: Candidates with the International Student Status (Decree-Law No. 62/2018, of August 6) are not eligible for this competition. For this purpose, they should consult the International Relations and Academic Mobility Office of IPL.
1.The application will be subject to approval by the Technical-Scientific Council of ESSL.
Criteria for selection of the candidates
The admission and ranking of candidates will be carried out by the Course Council, based on the following criteria and weightings:
» 50% - Grade obtained in the undergraduate course;
» 40% - Academic, scientific and professional curriculum;
» 10% - Letter of motivation.
The Course Council may conduct interviews if justified. When an interview is required, the relative weightings will be as follows:
» 50% - Grade obtained in the undergraduate course;
» 25% - Grade obtained in the interview;
» 25% - Academic, scientific and professional curriculum.
Necessary documentation
Applications must be submitted exclusively through an online platform available on the ESSL.https://www.essl.ipl.pt/estudar/mestrados/gestao-e-avaliacao-de-tecnologias-em-saude/candidaturasabertas.
Required documents to be submitted with the application:
a. Motivation letter;
b. Curriculum Vitae, without attachments;
c. Certificate of completion of a bachelor's degree with final grade.
All documents certifying foreign academic degrees must be authenticated by the competent authorities (Portuguese embassy/consulate in the country of origin or Hague Apostille).
Applications that do not include the required documents and payment within the stipulated deadlines will not be considered for admission and ranking.
CONDITIONAL APPLICATIONS:
For 1st phase applications
Conditional applications are accepted, provided that the candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree by June 29, 2026. The candidate must submit a certificate of completion of the course they are attending and a declaration of honor committing to submit the document certifying their Bachelor's degree (as provided for in point c.) by June 29, 2026.
