Social Gerontology

Conditions of access

•  Holders of degree, or legal equivalent, in Anthropology, Education and Community Intervention, Social Education, Nursing, Medicine, Psychology, Sociology, Animation and Sociocultural Intervention, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Senior Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technicians, Health Professions, Educational Sciences, Basic Education or related areas;
•  Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as meeting the objectives of the graduate degree by the Technical-Scientific Council of the  Escola Superior de Educação e Comunicação from the University of the Algarve;
• Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum, which is recognized as attesting the ability to carry out this cycle of studies, by the Technical-Scientific Council of the Escola Superior de Educação e Comunicação from the University of the Algarve.

The recognition referred to in paragraphs b) and c), is only valid for access to the study cycle leading to a master's degree and does not grant its holder the equivalence or recognition of any degree.

Criteria for selection of the candidates

• Sicentific area of bachelor's degree
• Final grade of bachelor's degree
• Professional, scientific and academic curriculum
• Interview, if necessary

Necessary documentation

• Certificate of Qualifications for the degree of graduate;
• Copy of BI/CC or Passport;
• Curriculum Vitae (with personal, academic and professional data);
• Proof of payment of the registration fee.
